I looked up the definition of organic the other day. Because as I read Organic God it asked, is your God organic? There are many “gods” out there. So I guess we need to be careful, extra careful in these days, as to who it is we are serving.
So it is said that ‘Organic means natural, pure, no additives” I like that. A God who is simple, good for you; easy to follow ~ Natural ~ Means nothing is hidden right? It is all there ~ everything we need.
So different from the way so many people sell God today. I love how sincere and heartfelt Feinberg’s writing is. So much about having that joy. And realy if we do not have that joy – isn’t something missing? Too long have many believed in this God that is far away; uninvolved and uninterested in our lives. How far from the truth that is! And how easy it is to get to know Him; and to follow Him, once all those false notions are stripped away.
Have you read your Bible lately? This is a challenging and inspiring read – it will bring you into His word. Back to His word if you have been way 🙂
Although this is more of an autobiography; detailing her journey, there is much that we can learn from her honesty. But I love her how she writes; so much detail about her youth. Confusion and misconceptions growing up. We have all had them.
She says, “Maybe that’s why the Bible says perfect love casts out fear. The closer we get to his love and the more we experience his bigheartedness, the more the fear diminishes until we are captivated by him and no longer captive to fear.”
I say a resounding YES to this! After all for so many I know, whether they realize it or not, fear is what keeps them from knowing the ONE TRUE GOD. And without Him at our side I do not believe any one person can cast that fear out.
Let us be reminded always of His truths; let us never allow the fear to come between us and our great God.
But now, this is what the LORD says — he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1 – 3
