Seeds Planted

“My mother and my brothers are those who hear the Word of God and do it”
How am I responding to His word today? Am I just agreeing or am I obeying as well?

If we are honest with ourselves we all have regrets; years and opportunities missed, the impact our disobedience had on others around us…If we do not completely die to our self we do not have the ability to follow Jesus. We can only follow Him when we are in COMPLETE surrender to Him.
DO you see the connection between love and obedience here? Myself?

I have been distracted with a home and family to care for; a sleepless 5 month old…Circumstances that make me feel less than able. These are all excuses though. His words to us are clear:
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.”

“So therefore any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.”

Do we agree with this? DO we simply smile and nod? Do we obey this powerful Word?

Let us weep now not later. How we need HIs grace and mercy that we may joyfully surrender ALL ~ That we may have abundant life!

  1. Sometimes, it’s hard to remember that we are suppose to surrender all to him. What a great reminder as to why we should. Thank you for linking up.

    1. So glad that He has the Words for us, all the time. May He give us a heart that is longing for Him alone. Thank YOU for doing this. What a great encouragement to me to really spend more time digging into His word! ❤
