What are you doing? …. Nothing? Nothing new. Nothing going on. How about nothing can separate you from God’s love? Unconditional, forever, never ending overwhelming love. That is God’s love for you. And for me. For our children. We may often hear, even say, God loves you, God loves me – Do we really understand how real and true it is? Let’s take that word nothing and make it into something amazing: Nothing by Natalee Creech from WorthyKids, an imprint of Hachette Book Group gives us a whole new power and meaning, to the word nothing.

Romans 8:38-39 King James Version (KJV)
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God’s love surrounds us. Our children need to know that for themselves. From the very smallest, there is a love that is so great and deep and powerful, that they can experience and feel for themselves. This book is recommended for ages 4-7 and I know my youngest daughter who recently turned four, felt this book was perfect for her! There is nothing she enjoys more than snuggling with momma and listening to a story, or singing some songs. This books was such a treat for her! She even proclaimed in the beginning, how “she knows that verse of the Bible.”
The sing song, rhyming on every page was so fun for her. Every time we read this book (and we read it quite often). She could spend her afternoon, counting the butterflies in the sky or the fish in the sea. She absolutely adored the mice that were sailing on that stormy water (they were so brave she said!) She got a bit worried for the frog and the squirrels in a terrible storm but she knew, God loves them and keep them safe.
She loved reading along with me about how God’s love is so STRONG and HIGH, so DEEP and LONG. ❤ (I think she has most of this book memorized now).
From a ride on a train to a hot air balloon up high, she enjoyed seeing and talking about what they would be like. She imagined being so close to God in that hot air balloon. “Touching the clouds; sticky and maybe yummy like cotton candy.”
The airplane reminded her of some when momma went on a plane and when our brothers/sisters on exchange came to visit with us from different countries.
Rockets in outer space; canoes on the river. In the dessert, on the moon …. It’s crazy all the places there are to go …. Yet none of them is to far for God’s love to reach us.
There is nowhere God’s love isn’t. This book makes sure you know just that. God’s love is everywhere. There is nowhere we are, that His love cannot and will not, go.
Isn’t that amazing? Isn’t that so powerful?
Even when we do or say something we shouldn’t HIs love is still with us; He forgives and He loves no matter what. In a world that knows evil as good and good as evil it is so important for our children to grow up knowing God’s love and forgiveness. We must help our children to learn and see their identity, not in the world, but in Christ.
What a peace we can have when we understand and claim His love as our own.
